Here at Carl Kammerling International Limited we’re offering the opportunity for an aspiring HR professional to take their first steps in a career in Human Resources.
The Human Resources department plays a key role within the business, ensuring we recruit and retain the right people and develop their skills and knowledge to ensure our customers receive the great service they have come to expect.

The Job

This entry level HR role will report directly into the Operations & Human Resources Manager and is a great opportunity for a candidate hoping to move into the HR field and undertake formal CIPD training to a level 3 standard.

So what does the job entail?
To administer (in line with procedures and policy)
• Effective Recruitment and Selection process
• The new starter process and scheduled inductions
• The effective booking and scheduling of Learning and Development
• The filing of personnel and learning and development files
• Sickness absence monitoring and reporting
• Basic compliance with employment legislation
To ensure records are effectively maintained on time and attendance software
To review and propose changes to (HR) departmental policy and procedures
To provide employees with advice on Company Policy and procedure
Seek and collate the views of all employees
To provide Line Managers with support when dealing with basic HR related issues
To assist Line Managers in identifying suitable Learning and Development opportunities

• Able to demonstrate understanding and experience in office administration

In addition you’ll need to have an empathetic approach to people and an interest in what motivates their actions, the ability to remain calm under pressure and have reasonable Microsoft Office skills.

Salary: Very competitive basic £18,000 - £20,000 + £1000 annual bonus (linked to achievement of targets) + 5% pension contribution

34 days annual leave per annum (increasing to 37 days with service) + 50% discount on CKI products
